Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading or using Joopie, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms govern your use of the local audio-journal tools made available by the app.

Eligibility and Personal Use

You may use Joopie only where you may lawfully do so. The app is intended for private, personal reflection. You are responsible for the device on which you use it and for deciding whether its local journal format is suitable for your circumstances.

Your Recordings and Entries

You are responsible for the recordings, captions, mood selections, and other material you create in the app. Do not use the app to record, reproduce, or disclose material in a way that violates another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other rights. Obtain any permission that may be needed before recording others.

Your Responsibilities When Using the App

Use the app in accordance with applicable law and these terms. Keep a separate copy of any personal material you consider important; Joopie is a local tool and is not a guaranteed archive. You remain responsible for your own choices about what to record, retain, or remove.

Your Content and App Materials

You keep the rights you have in the recordings and entries you create. The app software, interface, name, and other developer-provided materials are protected by applicable law. Except where law permits, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or misuse those materials.

Apple and Platform Terms

Your use of Joopie is also subject to the terms, rules, and device requirements that apply through Apple and the App Store. Apple is not responsible for the local journal content you create or for support of the app beyond obligations that may apply under its platform terms.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not interfere with the app's operation, attempt unauthorized access to its software, use it to break the law, or represent another person's private recording as your own. You must not use the app in a way that harms others or prevents others from using their own devices safely.

Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of Joopie when reasonably necessary. Device changes, operating-system changes, storage limits, or permission settings can affect how the app works. We do not promise that every feature will be available at all times or on every device.

Disclaimers and Liability Limits

Joopie is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or data-related loss arising from your use of or inability to use the app.

Updates to These Terms

We may update these terms when the app or applicable requirements change. Continued use after updated terms are made available through the app means that you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
